OPEN ROLLS PERIOD
DATES: August 15 – 29, 2019

If you agree with your assessment, no action is needed. If you disagree with your
assessment, there are options available to you:
1. You may visit our office at the location listed above; or
2. You may file an appeal by mail starting August 15, 2019.
Please note that the deadline for submitting an appeal to the Acadia Parish Police Jury
(APPJ) Board of Review is 4:30 PM Tuesday September 3, 2019.
If you choose, you may visit our office and discuss your value in person during the
“Open Rolls” period. Please bring documentation such as a recent appraisal, a
builder’s contract, photos, or your insurance coverage on the building if you are
requesting a review of your assessment.
If you are unable to visit our offices during this time period OR you wish to bypass
this step, you may submit a formal appeal to the APPJ Board of Review. These forms
are available at our office listed above or on the Louisiana Tax Commission’s website.
The 2019 appeal forms and supporting documentation/evidence must be submitted
to the APPJ Board of Review by 4:30 PM Tuesday, September 3.
If you believe you may qualify for a Homestead Exemption, Age Freeze or Disability
Freeze, please come to our office before September 30 to apply. You do not need to
come to our office during the open rolls period.
